Joana Cruz

Joana has over 10 years’ experience in Brussels’ EU advocacy both inside the European Institutions and outside. Through her experience in the European Commission and the European Parliament, she developed an expertise in the environment, energy and climate EU decision making files, after having followed a range of legislative institutional negotiations.

Prior to joining Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, as a senior policy advisor in environment and climate urban affairs, she was exposed to the practical implementation of EU legislation at local level throughout Europe.

Joana is a native Portuguese speaker, speaks fluent English, French, Spanish. She holds a MSc in European Studies from ESCP Europe and a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the university of Warwick.
