Gergana Aneva

Managing Director, Bulgaria

Gergana leads Rud Pedersen Public Affairs in Bulgaria, specialising in digital and energy policy, healthcare, AgriTech, and FinTech.

With over 20 years’ experience advising businesses on navigating complex regulatory and political environments, she brings a practical, results-driven approach to public affairs. As Managing Director, Gergana built the Sofia office from the ground up in 2022, assembling an integrated team with backgrounds in industry, politics, consulting, and media. She advises international and Bulgarian clients on strategic communications and government relations, combining hands-on advocacy with broader public affairs strategies. Her recent work includes securing regulatory changes, advocating for fintech innovators, managing crisis communications in the energy sector, and shaping strategic positioning in healthcare.

Before joining Rud Pedersen, Gergana served as Head of Cabinet to Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister for Demographic and Social Policies and gained extensive experience in the European Parliament in Brussels. She has also advised the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and worked at the Council of Ministers as a consultant on EU-funded programs on integration and human rights. Most recently, she was a director in Bulgaria’s state administration, focusing on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and e-governance.
