The Rud Pedersen Group has appointed Martin Bresson as Group Chair of Financial Services and Corporate Issues. James Stevens will succeed him as Managing Partner of Rud Pedersen Public Affairs in Brussels.

In his new role, Martin will work with Rud Pedersen Group’s newest Board member, Anders Borg, a former Finance Minister of Sweden, to develop the group’s offering to financial services and corporate clients in Brussels and across Europe. Mr. Bresson said “I’m looking forward to working with Anders and the group’s four different brands to help grow our integrated public affairs and public relations service offering to corporate and financial services clients. With our group growing in terms of our geographical presence, breadth of services and senior counsellors, it’s an exciting time to be taking up this new role.” Martin will remain a partner in Rud Pedersen Public Affairs in Brussels and continue to be based in Europe’s capital.

Group President Morten Rud Pedersen said “Martin has done a superb job in establishing our Brussels office over the last two years; building a talented, growing European team and a solid client base. We’re delighted that he will now use his considerable talents to help the Rud Pedersen Group continue to grow both in Brussels and across Europe. Between Martin and Anders we have the beginnings of a best-in-class financial services practice, which can only grow in value to our current and future clients.”

James Stevens will become Managing Partner of the Brussels office of Rud Pedersen Public Affairs. James joined Rud Pedersen Public Affairs as a partner in its Brussels office in May 2018 after over 15 years with FleishmanHillard in Brussels, where he held a variety of leadership roles, including Managing Director, Public Affairs. He said “I look forward to building on the firm foundations that Martin has put in place since starting the company in Brussels two years ago. It’s great to be given the opportunity to lead the Brussels office as we take the next stage in Rud Pedersen’s journey from a Nordic player to a truly European public affairs consultancy.”
