Selina Zehnder

Selina drives Rud Pedersen’s business development in the United States, connecting US companies with the firm’s European public affairs and government relations expertise. She works across sectors, helping companies understand European regulatory landscapes and identify the right advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and policy support.

Based in Boston, Selina is Business Development Director US at Rud Pedersen Brussels. She helps US companies navigate EU and national legislative processes and connect with Rud Pedersen’s specialist teams across Europe. She draws on years of hands-on experience in European energy, climate, and industrial policy. In previous client advisory work, she led cross-office teams, developed advocacy strategies, and delivered European multi-annual political campaigns consisting of both industry and NGO stakehdolers. Recent projects include: building and leading an advocacy coalition of corporates and NGOs on climate and industrial policy, reputation building for first-of-a-kind alternative fuels producers and political narrative and position development for an automotive client, including as paid, earned, shared and owned media and third-party mobilization.

Before joining Rud Pedersen, Selina worked at the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, where she contributed to the implementation of the Swiss Energy Strategy 2050 and programmes supporting low-carbon technologies. She also worked in the governmental affairs division of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation and as a local journalist. She also worked for the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation’s governmental affairs division and engaged in legislative and political discussions, as well as a local journalist.
