Roger Schjerva

Specialised in finance, tech, and all challenges that require insight into central government decision-making systems.

Roger has worked as a senior consultant at Rud Pedersen since spring 2023. He has helped companies navigate regulatory and political landscapes, but has also worked B2B on new market opportunities. In addition to strong political insight and networking, Roger also brings a macroeconomic background with a particular focus on budget processes and tax policy. Roger also works with strategic communication for leaders, drawing especially on his experience from party and interest political organizations.

Before RP, Roger worked as secretary general of the main confederation of trade unions, YS, and as chief economist at IKT-Norge (from 2025 Tek Norge). Throughout the Stoltenberg government period (2005-13), Roger served as state secretary in the Ministry of Finance. Before 2005, Roger worked in the Storting as head of the secretariat for the SV party.

Roger has participated in a number of boards and committee processes, for example, chairman of the board of the Port of Oslo, deputy chairman of the board of the Meteorological Institute and board member of Folketrygdfondet. Since 2019, he has been a local politician for the Labour Party in Halden.
