Liva Steinberga

Specialising in FMCG, public health and fiscal policy, Līva is Public Affairs Director at VA Government Rud Pedersen Latvia.

Līva joined VA Government in 2023. She leads government relations and advocacy for international companies in Latvia, combining direct engagement with decision-makers with coalition building and media outreach. Recent work includes a multi-year campaign for the beverage sector on excise tax policy, backed by independent research. She also led a campaign for educational publishers that put state funding for learning materials on the national budget agenda.

From 2017 to 2023, Līva was a Policy Expert at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing business interests on health, education and construction policy. From 2013 to 2017, she served in the Latvian Foreign Service, working on external economic relations and development cooperation. That included representing Latvia in the Council of the EU Working Party on Humanitarian Aid and Food Aid.
