Joep Kievits

Experienced consultant with more than 17+ years of experience in public affairs, lobbying, public policy, stakeholder management, and strategic communication. His experience goes back a long way. He is currently co-Managing Director at Rud Pedersen Netherlands. Before Rud Pedersen he worked for Dutch based public affairs firms EPPA (Managing Consultant) and IvCB (Senior Director). Before that he was the Founder and Managing Director of public affairs agency MagnifEye for several years. In the years prior to that, he held (Senior) public affairs positions at various leading public affairs firms (Weber Shandwick, Meines Holla, Public Matters), was Head of the Public Affairs Department (NL & EU) at the City of Amsterdam, and was a Public Affairs advisor at Maastricht University.

He also spent several years working for a national political party as a policy officer and began his career as a civil servant at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture, and Innovation (EL&I).

Joep has built up a broad experience and network at all levels of government. From EU and national level to regional and local level. He has a broad experience, but his expertise is mainly focused on sectors like (big)tech and digital economy, telecom, energy & climate, industry and business climate, mobility & infrastructure, healthcare & life sciences and housing/real estate sector.
