Hannu Oskala

Hannu is our consultant specialising in infrastructure, urban policy and urban mobility, and leads our Transport and Infrastructure team.

He has extensive knowledge of decision-making processes in major cities and he helps clients build effective dialogue with public authorities and decision-makers, including on projects within the creative economy. Hannu joined Rud Pedersen in 2018.

Hannu has a background in Helsinki city politics, having served as a member of the City Board from 2013 to 2017 and as a City Councillor from 2013 to 2021. He has also held several positions of trust at city and regional level, and remains an active commentator on urban policy.

Hannu holds a Master of Music degree from the Sibelius Academy.
