Atte Palomäki

Atte advises boards and executive teams on complex strategic and reputational issues, with a focus on reputation, strategy and stakeholder engagement in an international business environment. He is a strategic communications leader whose global experience spans corporate, brand and sustainability communications, reputation management and executive advisory.

Before joining Rud Pedersen, Atte spent more than 15 years at Wärtsilä Corporation, where he served as Executive Vice President, Communications, Branding & Marketing and as a member of the Board of Management. During his career, he has also held communications leadership roles at Nordea Bank and Citycon and worked as a journalist in Finnish television and print media.

His current professional activities include several board and advisory roles in communications, governance and ethics. He is a Fellow of the Page Society and serves on the boards of ProCom, the Finnish Association of Communication Professionals, Finland’s Council of Ethics for Communications, Selko Insights and the Riikka Herlin Foundation. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki.

Atte combines extensive boardroom and international business experience with a pragmatic approach to helping organizations and leaders navigate reputation, stakeholder expectations and change.
