Magnus Persson

Magnus has extensive experience from his many positions in the public sector at both the national and regional levels. Areas of interest and expertise include transport and infrastructure politics combined with regional development policies.
He was State Secretary at the Ministry of Communication from 1994 to 1998 and was a member of the board of the Swedish railway company SJ from 2000 to 2003. In addition, he has 20 years’ experience as a board member and chairperson in various governmental authorities including Orebro University (4 years) and the Swedish Transport Administration (8 years, 2 as chairperson). For 15 years, he was employed as CEO/Senior Advisor on regional development by the Orebro Regional Council.
