Works primarily with Healthcare, Tech and Finance, FMCG, and Infrastructure groups.
With Rud Pedersen since 2020, Derya manages a range of large clients. Recent projects include shaping government policy through positioning, advocacy, stakeholder outreach, messaging, analysis and advice for large clients in the healthcare, education, infrastructure, food and drinks and retail sectors. Previously, Derya was a Communications Consultant at Gullers Grupp and also worked at the Finnish Parliament as Political Assistant to National Coalition Party MP Timo Heinonen. She has served on Riihimäki's municipal council, municipal executive board, and education committee and previously chaired the National Coalition Party’s local youth organisation. Derya was named one of the seven most influential young politicians in Finland in 2017.
Derya holds a master’s degree in Scandinavian languages, literature, and linguistics as a major and pedagogical studies as a minor from the University of Helsinki. She completed an internship at the Liberal Democrats’ International Office in London, where she worked on the Westminster Foundation for Democracy's research projects.
Derya speaks Swedish, Finnish, English, and Turkish.
