As a dedicated leader for our engagements in the Portuguese market, Miguel focuses on fostering connections and building bridges between clients and public and institutional stakeholders in Portugal. With extensive experience in public affairs, stakeholder management and strategic communication, before joining Rud Pedersen he served as a Political & Parliamentary Advisor to the Socialist Spokesperson at the Assembleia da República, where he was responsible for providing political and regulatory intelligence, supporting legislative processes and advising on policy development, which allowed him to gain in-depth expertise in Portugal’s institutional framework, political dynamics and decision-making processes. His academic background in Economics and Public Policy further complements his expertise in public affairs and government relations.​
