Ignacio Bañares Olmo

Specialising in healthcare and pharmaceutical public affairs, Ignacio supports Rud Pedersen’s clients in navigating Spain’s healthcare policy and the broader EU regulatory landscape.

As Consultant at Rud Pedersen Spain since December 2024, Ignacio advises pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations on political developments and regulatory trends impacting the health sector. He designs and implements diverse stakeholder engagement strategies that align clients’ objectives with evolving public policy, contributing to better health outcomes in society.

Ignacio brings experience across European institutions and the consultancy sector. Before joining Rud Pedersen, he worked at Incisive Health in Brussels, providing EU-level public affairs support in the health field. He also served as a Policy Advisor Trainee in the European Parliament for the EPP Group, where he analysed policy proposals, prepared briefings, and supported high-level meetings at diverse-EU institutional levels.

Ignacio holds a Master’s degree in International Business Economics and Management from KU Leuven and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Groningen and Complutense University of Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and English and has working knowledge of German.
