Kristīne Fainveica
Public Affairs Consultant, Latvia, Riga
Kristīne joined VA Government in 2024 and works with clients in the defence and security sector.
Before joining VA Government, Kristīne served as the UN Coordinator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supporting Latvia’s engagement with international organizations and its campaign for a UN Security Council seat. Earlier in her career, she gained experience at a legal consultancy in The Hague, contributing to a project focused on advancing accountability for the crime of starvation in armed conflicts. Her professional background has given her valuable insight into the intersection of international law, policy, and ethical considerations—a perspective she now applies to consult defence and security clients.
Kristīne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics, as well as an LLM in International Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam with an Advanced Certificate in International Criminal Law from Columbia University in New York. Outside of work, Kristīne engages in voluntary work, enjoys learning about cultures through cooking, as well as reading.
