Michelle Derks

Michelle started as a trainee at Issuemakers in 2019. Ssince April 2020 she is working as Junior advisor. She has a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and a master's degree international relations at the University of Amsterdam. The interaction between politics, media and the public is something that interests her very much. Based on this interest, she wrote her master's thesis on the impact of media framing on the public debate surrounding the gun lobby in the United States. Putting it on the agenda by social issues and advising organizations that see these issues as an opportunity instead of a threat is something she likes to explore.

At Issuemakers Michelle works for various clients and directs she focuses mainly on carrying out creative campaignss and media strategies, issue management, PR and media approach.
