Serving as Senior Adviser at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Germany, Rüdiger brings over two decades of experience in diplomacy, media relations, and policy advisory roles. He has advised international clients, governments and organisations on European and global issues, particularly within the realms of foreign policy, economic relations, and public diplomacy. He previously served as Director of the Aspen Institute Germany, a leading think tank dedicated to transatlantic relations, where he focused on fostering dialogue between the US and Europe. He has also been a correspondent for Deutsche Welle in Brussels and Washington, covering EU and international politics. Recent projects and advisory roles include: advising global energy companies on policy developments in Europe, leading communication strategies for multinational firms, and supporting organisations in improving their public relations within the transatlantic community.
Before joining Rud Pedersen, Rüdiger was involved in various international diplomatic initiatives and played an integral role in policy advocacy. He was a founding member of the German-American Business Council in Washington, he is a member of the prestigious German Council on Foreign Relations and a longtime member of the Atlantik-Brücke. He has also organised and contributed to several East-West track II conferences about Ukraine and global policy dialogues. Rüdiger holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Hamburg. He is fluent in German and English.
