Karoliina Loukari

Karoliina specializes in public affairs, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and strategic communications. Karoliina has previously worked in both the private and public sectors; her most recent roles being Marketing and Communications Director and Public Affairs Director at Novo Nordisk Farma Oy. During her career she has been accountable for strategic marketing planning and portfolio management, strategic planning and implementation of activities related to pharmaceutical and health policy and the building of strong stakeholder relationships. For seven years she also led external communications; including corporate branding, media relations and issues management. She has been an active member in several pharmaceutical industry interest groups and working committees, focusing on health policy and market access.

Karoliina has also worked as Political Advisor to the Minister of the Interior, as Government Affairs Manager at Pfizer Oy and for several years within the Parliament of Finland. Her political experience has mainly focused on health and social policy, in addition to short term domestic security issues.

Karoliina is passionate about building coalitions and co-operation projects, as well as strategic planning and communications. She is particularly interested in exploring how new technology can support smarter ways of working and lead to innovation in health and well-being.
