Merilyn Säde

Merilyn has a wide range of experience in the field of communication, having worked as a journalist and as a communications manager in various institutions. Her main strengths are a systematic and strategic approach to communication and the ability to write or speak about complex issues in a simple way. Her work is characterised by thoroughness, focus and a desire to find ways of doing things differently.

She has a strong practical knowledge and experience of crisis communication, having worked as a communications manager in a local government during the corona crisis, where she had to deal with and resolve a variety of complex situations in both the municipality and its subordinate bodies. Prior to joining the META team, Merilyn worked as a communications manager for the Social Democratic Party, helping them to achieve a result in the 2023 Riigikogu elections that led to the coalition negotiation table and from there to the coalition.

Merilyn advises a wide range of institutions and companies in the health and education sectors.

Merilyn holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Tartu and currently teaches Communication Studies at the same university.
