Penny Sarakenidou

Research Executive, Brussels

Penny is a Research Executive in the Tech cluster, focusing on digital, cloud, AI and data policy.

Having worked as a lawyer for almost four years, she made her Brussels debut by joining the Greek Permanent Representation as a trainee at the Justice and Home Affairs department. She then pursued a traineeship at the Council’s Legal Service, where she mainly focused on data protection and migration files. In her current role, she supports tech clients with policy monitoring and research on key developments of EU digital policy, assists in the development and execution of outreach campaigns and participates in overall public affairs support. She holds an Advanced LLM in International and European Law from KU Leuven, a master’s degree in International and European Legal Studies and a bachelor in law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
