Marta Marafona
Research Executive, Brussels
Marta is a Research Executive in the Food and Agriculture cluster at RPPA Brussels, focusing on agrifood trade and substance advocacy.
Before joining Rud Pedersen, she gained experience at a Brussels-based consultancy, advising clients on agrifood, trade and chemical policy. She also completed a traineeship in the Analysis and Research Team at the Council of the European Union, where she strengthened her knowledge in horizon scanning and foresight. Prior to moving to Brussels, Marta was a Junior Lecturer at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University, teaching courses on international relations and security.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and International Relations from the University of Porto and a Research Master’s Degree in European Studies from Maastricht University.
A Portuguese native speaker, Marta is fluent in English and has an intermediate level of French and Spanish.
