Federica Amiconi
Research Executive, Brussels
Federica is a Research Executive in the Food and Agriculture cluster at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Brussels where she mainly works on agrifood trade and plant protection products (PPP).
Before joining the team, she worked at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) where she focused on stakeholder engagement towards National Food Safety Authorities and EU institutional monitoring. In this role, she covered the food safety legislation, including the General Food Law, Novel Foods, NGTs, One Health and the role of EFSA in the food safety risk assessment in Europe. Previously, Federica worked as a Blue Book trainee at the European Commission’s Secretariat- General where she gained experience in EU decision-making procedures and inter-institutional relations towards the Council of the European Union.
Federica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences (LL.B.) and a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in International Relations and European Studies from Universitá degli Studi Roma Tre. She attended also classes at Scuola Superiore Sant’ Anna on “Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems in the EU” where she dived into key legislative proposals of the Farm to Fork Strategy and the alignment of the Common Agricultural Policy with the Green Deal.
Federica is a native Italian and Slovak speaker, and she is fluent in English and French.
