Dan provides counsel on digital, automotive and food and agricultural policy in Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Brussels Office.

Dan was an elected member of the European Parliament between 2015 and 2019 and served as the Chief Whip of the UK Conservative delegation and coordinator of his political group in the Internal Market Committee. He led the European Parliament negotiations on several high profile pieces of legislation, including the type approval rules for passenger cars, Terrorist content online and consumer rules for the online age and was at the centre of the many legislative proposals on digital policy.

Since leaving elected politics Dan was the CEO of the British Chamber of Commerce in Brussels before joining Rud Pedersen. Before becoming an MEP, Dan worked in the European parliament as a policy advisor focusing on agricultural and trade policy and prior to entering politics Dan was a professional cricketer and cricket coach in the UK.
