Before joining Rud Pedersen, Tuomas worked in several NGO’s and trade unions, gaining broad expertise in the fields of social policy, labor markets and education. He has strong analytical skills and in-depth understanding of the functions and political processes of societies. Tuomas holds a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of Jyväskylä, where he is also pursuing his PhD in the same discipline. His dissertation focuses on the theme of academic unemployment. He has had a number of significant positions of trust within the Finnish Green Party over the course of the last 15 years, plus a number of positions in Jyväskylä and Helsinki local politics. Tuomas is the Chairperson of the Green Cultural Association and Educational Centre (Visio).
