Roger has managed a wide range of client interests, from major infrastructure business processes and environmental policy, to defence and security policy, to analysing the impact of development cooperation programmes. A special focus of his has been serving clients that are foreign to the Nordic region, as well as supporting Scandinavian clients in today’s fast growing markets in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Roger’s working languages are Swedish, English and Spanish with some command of German and Portuguese.
In addition to addressing the requirements of commercial clients, Roger Hällhag has valuable experience from engaging with all kinds of global organizations, governments and national public authorities, voluntary associations and political parties. He has performed project evaluations and strategy development on the ground in all parts of the world.
During his career in politics and public administration, Roger Hällhag served as foreign affairs expert, political advisor and policy coordinator to the Swedish Prime Minister as well as two Ministers of Defence. He has also worked as an independent analyst and did political science research as head of programme at IDEA, International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance.
Roger has had leading roles in Swedish and international social democracy, and in several voluntary organizations promoting economic and social development around the world. He chaired Hand in Hand Sweden during three years of strong expansion, building on its success in facilitating entrepreneurship and job creation among poor women in India.
