Heljä Misukka has been working in Finnish Education Policy for years.

Before joining Rud Pedersen, she was Director in the Trade Union of Education in Finland and before that she worked for the Finnish Government (from 2007 to 2011 as State Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Culture). She has worked also in the Finnish Parliament as an advisor in education and municipal politics in the Parliamentary group of the Coalition party.

Heljä knows the decision-making process in Finland at a local and national level and has been a member of the city council in Espoo, the second biggest city in Finland, from 2001 to 2012. Heljä Misukka graduated from the University of Helsinki with a Masters in Political Science. She likes to write columns, articles and has accumulated a number of followers on social media. She has hosted many public discussions and is a known public speaker in Finnish media. Heljä is at her best finding relevant people and stakeholders in Finland when it comes to education or science.
