Gaia has a background in European Law and policy research in the field of circular economy. Prior to joining Rud Pedersen, Gaia worked within the Directorate for Quality of Legislation of the Council of the EU and completed a traineeship in the Directorate for Legislative Acts of the European Parliament. She also has experience as a researcher within the Leiden Advocacy Project on Plastics, where she collaborated on an academic publication regarding policy options to address microplastic pollution from synthetic textiles. Gaia holds a Law Degree from the University of Trento as well as an LL.M in European Law from Leiden University. In addition to her Italian mother tongue, she is fluent in English and German and has intermediate knowledge of French and Spanish.
