Before joining Rud Pedersen, Ellen worked as a political assistant to Jan Björklund, party leader of the Liberal Party, as well as the rest of the party leadership. She was one of twenty people chosen for the think-tank Timbro’s Sture Academy, a yearlong program for young liberals focusing on political ideology and editorial writing.

Ellen Axenborg has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Uppsala University. She has also studied advanced English, American history and American politics at Georgia College, USA while on a scholarship.
