Anders Westlie has over 10 years of experience within health governance from both the Norwegian Directorate of Health and, in the latter 6 years, from the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services where he served as senior advisor.
Westlie has extensive knowledge in the field of e-health and digitalization. He has had central positions in building e-health initiatives varying from the development of national strategies, interpreting consequences of technical issues to new policies, creating national structures for coordination, introducing new financing models and driving organizational change for increased digitalization. Westlie also had a central role in reorganizing the Norwegian central health administration in 2015, hereunder establishing the Norwegian Directorate of e-health.
Anders Westlie holds a Master of Philosophy in Health Economics, Policy and Management from the University of Oslo.
